THROUGH THE GOODNESS OF THE LORD SERVICES ARE NOW BEING HELD BACK IN THE CHAPEL AFTER THE ROTTEN FLOOR HAS BEEN REPLACED. THERE IS STILL SOME WORK TO BE DONE, AND SOME PEWS HAVE NOTICES ABOUT NOT SITTING ON THEM PLEASE.
After the three month trial (February, March and April) we will now hold the Ordinance of The Lord's Supper at the time of the evening service (6.30pm) on the first Lord's Day of each month, when the pastor will take the whole service from the table. The order of service will be: First hymn; Reading; Prayer; Second hymn; Sermon (in place of the previous communion address, and as helped by the Holy Spirit applicable to the ordinance); Taking of the Bread and Cup; Third hymn; and Benediction.
All the hymns will be sung by the whole congregation. The length of the service is not expected to be much different to other services here.
We are a Strict Baptist church and the taking of the communion is reSTRICTed to members of the church who have been by baptised by immersion , professing their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Visiting members of other churches of the same faith and order are asked to speak to the pastor or deacon before sitting at the communion table.
If you have any questions or would like to talk about this or any other matter, please contact the pastor.
If you would like to have a Bible, please let us know.
The Bible and parts of it (New Testaments/Gospels) are available in lots of languages as well as English.
Feel free to use the car park to the rear of the chapel. The entrance drive is between Fox Hill Court and 55 Sussex Road.
